1) Basic Terms - Fiber : Fiber: is a hair-like basic unit of raw material used in the making of yarns and fabrics. Example : cotton, poly, rayon, nylon, linen, silk, wool. - Yarn : A thread made by twisting or spinning fibers. - Fabric : A cloth constructed with yarn or directly from fibers by weaving, knitting, crocheting, felting, etc. - References : If you need more research or studies, click "Fabric University" under "Links" in left side menu. 2) Category : All fabric types are broken down into three types: knit, woven or nonwoven. 3) Construction : Fabric construction involves the conversion of yarns, and sometimes fibers, into a fabric having characteristics determined by the materials and methods employed. Example : Jersey, Rib, French Terry. 4) FRN Code : FRN Code is made of 3 elements : category, construction, and yarn serial#. - Category : K for Knit, W for Woven. - Construction : Regular construction, and another characteristics called "Type1" like single or double in jersey, 2x1 or 2x2 in rib, finally add one more concept called "Type2" like plain or striped. Example : French Terry, 3nd, Plain ---> FRT-3nd-Plain - Yarn Serial# : System assigns unique number for each yarn combinations. Example : Mixed 2 yarns - size 30, 100% Cotton Com, 50%, Natural Color, USA size 30, 100% Poly, 50%, Natural, USA ------------> #0010 (System Assigned) - Final Code : Category-Construction Part(construction+Type1+Type2)-Yarn Serial# Example : K-FRT-3nd-Plain-0010 ------> System generate this code.

First FRN is 1, 2nd is 2, and so on. - FRN Desc : Just detail explanation of FRN Code. You can see yarn serial# is described by fabric contents.
